Agreement to Terms
By installing, accessing, or using Mermade (“the Add-on” or “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Mermade.
Description of Service
Mermade is a Google Workspace Add-on that enables users to create Mermaid diagrams directly within Google Slides. The Service allows you to:
- Write Mermaid diagram code
- Preview diagrams in real-time
- Insert diagrams as images into your Google Slides presentations
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Mermade. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Use of the Service
Permitted Use
You may use Mermade for lawful purposes only. You agree to:
- Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Use the Service only for its intended purpose
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Not use the Service to transmit malicious code or harmful content
Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
- Use the Service to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
- Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Use the Service in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
Intellectual Property
Our Rights
Mermade, including its code, design, and functionality, is owned by Cirsia LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Your Content
You retain all rights to the Mermaid diagrams and content you create using Mermade. We do not claim ownership of your content.
Privacy
Your use of Mermade is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use information.
Disclaimers
Service Availability
Mermade is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be available at all times
- The Service will be error-free or uninterrupted
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
No Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CIRSIA LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CIRSIA LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cirsia LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of Mermade or violation of these Terms.
Google Workspace Integration
Mermade integrates with Google Workspace and is subject to:
- Google Workspace Marketplace Terms of Service
- Google’s Privacy Policy
- Google’s API Services User Data Policy
By using Mermade, you also agree to comply with Google’s terms and policies.
Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
- Update these Terms from time to time
- Change features or functionality of the Service
We will notify users of material changes to these Terms by updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to Mermade at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
You may stop using Mermade at any time by uninstalling the Add-on from your Google Workspace account.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cirsia LLC regarding the use of Mermade and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
